At present, I am a PhD candidate in human geography at the University of Melbourne. I have worked on housing, urban marginalisation, informality, environmental change, and youth since 2012. My doctoral research explores youth social and political action at moments of environmental change in informal settlements in India (Dehradun and Nagpur).

Before starting my PhD, I researched the impact of large-scale housing projects on inhabitants’ lives in informal settlements in Central India, Nagpur, and the everyday experiences of migrants living in multi-ethnic neighborhoods in Belgium, where I am from. Along with my academic work, I worked with various Indian NGOs on issues including heritage and conservation, urban sustainability, urban inequality, and social justice.
