Yasodhara Ranasinghe

I am currently a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning of University of Melbourne, Australia. I am also a Chartered Architect and a Lecturer at the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. I’m interested in understanding how architecture can serve underprivileged community groups, so the humanitarian architecture, subalterns’ voice in peacemaking, and post- disaster resettlement are at the center of my research and design interests. To pursue this goal, my PhD project focuses on community inclusion in landslide resettlement programs in rural Sri Lanka.
