Rashed Azizi

I’m an architect and researcher interested in design, affordability, and peri-urban conditions. Crossing the boundaries of traditional research and digging into research through design is my aim. I have explored a wide range of practice-based experiences in the last ten years, from teaching in architecture vocational schools, and constructing my designs, to starting a design-led Ph.D. at Monash University. I also hold an M.A. in Architecture from the Art University of Isfahan, Iran.

Currently, I am looking at hybrid interaction between formal and informal living in the peri-urban area. I hope housing design in peri-urban contexts goes beyond housing and makes affordable agile architecture that addresses the constantly changing housing demands of the occupants.
