I’m currently a PhD student at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia. My PhD project titled “The norm and identities of inhabiting: Practices of women living in informal settlements” explores women’s practices of “making a home” within the framework of the Integral Neighbourhood Improvement program in Bogotá. It focuses on the interaction between “the norm” and territorial identities, the intersection of class, race, gender and location. The theoretical reference starts from the perspective of “Intersectionality”, a theoretical and methodological framework of Black feminism.
