Martin Arias-Loyola

I obtained my PhD in Economic Geography and Planning Studies from the Bartlett School of Planning, University College London. Currently, I’m Assistant Professor at Departamento de Economica, UCN, researcher at ORDHUM and IDEAR, visiting academic/postdoc at University of Melbourne, and Editor of Academia Ciudadana.

I am interested in power, the dark side of economic geography, extractive neoliberal contexts, cooperativism, political geography, the role of academia in social change and the right to the city.
