I currently work at the Rame-Rame Jakarta in Indonesia. My research interests include urban informality in the Indonesian capital, public and contested spaces, economic symbiosis and resilience. I’m part of the KOTANATOMI Project- an interdisciplinary framework for mapping, quantifying and understanding the role of Jakarta’s informal sector in producing and shaping Jakarta’s public spaces. The intention is to develop a predictive model for anticipating formal/informal interaction and an ongoing methodology for introducing nuance to planning and policy regarding expressions of informality.
