Annlouise Genevieve M. Castro

I am a researcher at the University of the Philippines – School of Urban and Regional Planning (UP SURP). My research interests lie mainly in the field of climate change/disaster risk reduction in planning. My master’s thesis investigated the adaptive capacity of farmers to climate change in the municipality of San Mateo, Isabela (Philippines). I have been involved in projects with local and international partners and studies on land use planning, land valuation, sustainable and resilient neighbourhoods, mainstreaming climate change and disaster risk reduction.

I am currently based in Thailand pursuing my PhD at the Asian Institute of Technology’s (AIT) Disaster Preparedness, Mitigation, and Management Program. This program is under the AIT’s School of Engineering and Technology and the School of Environment and Resources Development.
