Shiva Nouri

I’m a feminist urban planner from Iran with a master’s degree in Urban Planning from Shahid Beheshti University of Iran. My professional experiences cover a broad range of practices in private sector and government settings back in Iran. As a PhD student at the University of Melbourne, I want to study the potential of ICT and digital technologies for representing/empowering women in urban public spaces. I am passionate to explore different dimensions of marginality in cities especially those intersecting with gender.

My research interests include: Feminist Geography and Planning, Empowering Marginalized Groups in Cities, Gender Justice, Right to the city, Spatial Justice, Gender and Technology
