Post-COVID-19 World: What’s the future like for ECRs? / May 29, 2020 [Virtual Session]
We are seeing a growing interest in COVID-19 research and how the pandemic will shape urban life. As individuals and governments scramble to navigate the adverse impacts of the crisis, no one is certain when the pandemic will end and what traces it will leave in cities.
The current situation also poses challenges to early career researchers (ECRs). How can we recalibrate our research agenda in relation to the complexities around COVID-19? How will the ‘new normal’ affect our ‘normal’ research interests? How, and to what extent, will the pandemic change our perspectives on cities and urban policies? This SEED session will address these questions and reflect on how ECRs can prepare for an uncertain post-COVID-19 future.
